Well who would have thought when the Titans were getting trounced at halftime that we would be seeing them take on the might Patriots this week. I held on to slim hope but I definitely didn’t think it would happen. My ass did not touch the couch for the whole 4th quarter of that game (minus when I thought the Chiefs returned that “fumble”). The surprisingly good Rams of Los Angeles showed that they needed just a little more playoff experience as Matty Ice and the Falcons took the game outright and are trying to get back to the Super Bowl again. We had the Saints make a questionable 4th down call late in the 4th but were able to hold on over the concussed Super Cam and the Panthers. Finally we had a snore fest in what I guess can be called a football game between the Jags and Bills, with Sacksonville moving on.
This weeks matchups are going to be interesting to see who is going to be fighting for their right to get to their Conference Championships. The Titans will be taking on the Brady Bunch (Pats), Philly will look to hold on to the top sport without Wentz against the Dirty Birds of Atlanta, Jacksonville looks to make it two in a row against the Steelers this year, and finally Case Keenum gets his first playoff start against a scary good Nawlins team led by Drew Brees.
Last week we all went 2-2 so no need to go in depth. Here are our picks for this week:
Titans vs Patriots: Even against Tommy Boy we are all still hopping on the Pain Train…WOOOO WOOOO!!!! Titan Up BABY!!
Falcons vs Eagles: JS- ATL BT- Philly RK- Falcons
Jaguars vs Steelers: I think I can speak for everyone here at HasBeen and say that we want the Jags for a third time this season. So we are all aboard with Blake Bortles taking it from the Steelers.
Saints vs Vikings: JS- Who Dat Nation….Nawlins BT- Vikes RK- Vikes
Stay safe and stay warm out there everyone…..Oh and just a “friendly” reminder Nashville SC has their first friendly (see what I did there) in USL play against Atlanta United February 10th…..What are you waiting for? Go get your tickets now before they are all gone because they are damn near all gone. Have a great one.
